I’m Tara Leweling – a wife, aunt, woman veteran, small business owner, and proud Pacific Grove resident.
My connection to PG began in 1999, when I was stationed at the Naval Postgraduate School and lived on the 100 block of Central Avenue in District 3. I returned to NPS in 2004 for my PhD and met my husband.
We dreamed of making PG our home. It took time and determination, and I’m deeply grateful to be here.
My life has been shaped by service, family, and a strong belief in community. After nearly 22 years in the Air Force, including service at the White House, I held senior executive roles in financial services. Today, I own a local strategic advisory firm and mentor emerging leaders.
My career has centered on bringing people together across differing perspectives and building responsible, workable solutions.
For PG, I’m focused on environmental stewardship, housing affordability, economic vitality through support for local businesses, infrastructure investment, and encouraging civic dialogue across our community.
It would be an honor to represent District 3, serving you and the city we love.
